This delicious dry red wine is made in a soft, fruity style from a blend of classic red grape varieties. Chasseur is an authentic, quality wine crafted for easy drinking. The harvest from these parcels is always carried out later because of the dominant varieties, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. Careful vinification gives this wine depth, elegance and length in the mouth. The floral bouquet of the Cabernet variety is predominant in the wines youth but develops later towards the more complex aromas of a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. Beautiful deep colour with purple tints. Corte Vigna is crafted with native grapes from Puglia. This Sangiovese has a complex olfactory fragrance with aromas of fresh fruit and raspberries, good structure and dry flavour.

Le Sol (French: the soil) is born of the renowned Gimblett Gravels viticultural appellation, with its gravelly soils attracting the sun in summer and insulating the vines in winter. The vines are planted in the stoniest parts of the vineyard to a heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand in the 1840s. Intensively hand managed, the grapes reveal a deep dark Syrah with purple hues. Le Sol is always aromatically pure with a luscious yet elegant mid-palate and a distinctive fine tannin finish. Very dark purple core. Abundant sweet, black fruits lead the bouquet, notably boysenberry and blueberry aromas. The tannin structure of the wine is exemplary and seamless from start to finish. The wine shows considerable drinkability in its youth, and the intensity is the highest in several years.

The vines originate from a Heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand around 150 years ago. Produced from the gravelly soils of the Gimblett Gravels, this distinct Syrah shows an aromatic lift of floral and pepper aromatics with lushness and elegance on the palate. Deep red with a purple hue. Tremendous aromatic lift, with lavender and sweet cherries rising from the glass. The palate has significant density but a perfect balance that already encourages drinking.

Te Kahu means 'the cloak' in te reo Maori and refers to the mist that envelops Giants Winery in the Tukituki Valley. Legend has it that this mist was used to protect a mythical Maori maiden from the sun as she visited her lover Te Mata. This is a wine of richness and an abundance of black fruit flavours and a long structured finish. Deepest crimson red. Brooding aromatically with notes of cassis, black olive and dried tobacco enveloping a dense core of blue fruits. The wine has a lovely focus on the palate with dark fruits framed by fine tannins to deliver a classical structure with an excellent future ahead.
