Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels wines are crafted from vineyards within this small, sub-region of Hawke's Bay. Deposited by a wandering river, these unique, stony soils create exceptional wines of character and personality. The Gimblett is a sophisticated red wine blending the aromatic beauty of Cabernet Franc with the rustic character of Tempranillo. It offers complex aromas of brambly blackcurrants, plums, and coffee, layered with hints of dried herbs, chocolate, and sweet spices. The palate is generous and textural, framed by fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity, delivering a succulent, supple experience with long-term ageing potential of 10-20 years. Best enjoyed decanted, it pairs beautifully with rich dishes like Beef Bourguignon.

Textured and dry, the wine has roasted almond flavours mingling with fresh thyme, wild fennel, and cinnamon. This multi-layered pinot gris is opulent yet clean and juicy with fresh acidity. Great balance and a waxy mouthfeel are complimented by a beautiful lemonade type texture.

With its beautiful deep purple colour, the nose mingles, as soon as the bottle is opened, with notes of fruit such as tomato, and spices enhanced by a touch of balsamic. The flavours of the typical Catalan garrigues, liquorice and kirsch cherries then mingle on the palate. The palate is voluptuous and light at the same time. An airy and delicate side that one cannot get enough of. As an accompaniment or as an aperitif, Vieille Mule is sure to please.
